Chevrolet Cruize

The Chevrolet Cruze is a General Motors (GM) automobile, spanning two unrelated generational lineages. The first series, a subcompact crossover SUV, was manufactured by Suzuki in Japan between 2001 and 2008 under joint venture with GM. From 2008, the "Cruze" moniker has been applied to a globally-developed compact car, designed, manufactured and retailed entirely within GM.

Badged Holden Cruze in Australasia and Daewoo Lacetti Premiere in South Korea, the 2008 onwards model is related only in name to the Suzuki-derived original, and does not serve as its successor. Instead, the new car replaces two unrelated models—the Chevrolet Cobalt and Daewoo Lacetti. This preceding Lacetti was sold internationally as either a Buick, Chevrolet, Daewoo, Holden or Suzuki. GM phased out production of the Chevrolet Cobalt and its badged engineered counterpart, the Pontiac G5 in 2010 upon the introduction of the Chevrolet Cruze in North America.

 GM in 2008 introduced the Cruze compact car, carrying the "J300" internal designation.[10] This J300 iteration serves as a replacement for the Chevrolet Cobalt and Daewoo Lacetti—both unrelated cars. The first renderings of the Cruze were revealed by GM at a press conference on July 15, 2008,[11] with the first official images released on August 21, 2008.[12]

Cruze production sites include Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, South Korea; Saint Petersburg, Russia;[13] Shenyang, China;[14] and Halol, India;[15] Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan from May 2010;[16] and Rayong, Thailand after December 2010.[17] Holden's localized hatchback version of the Cruze to be built at the Elizabeth, South Australia factory from 2011 will be accompanied by Australian manufacture of the Cruze sedan.[18][19][20].Chevrolet Cruze has been launched with two variants which are packed by powerful diesel engine option that delivers higher level of performance and

offers excellent acceleration. Both variants of Chevrolet Cruze are powered by a 2.0L, 1991cc, 4-Cylinder, In-line Advanced VCDi (Variable Geometry Turbo Common Rail Direct Injection) diesel engine of next generation with 5-Speed manual transmission gearbox that offers high engine performance and it can produce maximum power of 150bhp at 4000rpm with maximum torque of 320Nm at 2000rpm. This higher level of power and torque results excellent acceleration so that Chevrolet Cruze can cross 100kmph mark in just 9.7 seconds and can achieve the top speed mark of 184kmph.
